Digital Channels Backlash Numerous buyers and vendors are expressing on platforms saying Vinted listings now show a different size category than originally posted as a result of the reclassification. The platform stated the revised method more closely matches comparable marketplaces. They have suggested members to review their products and adjust the sizing manually if necessary, causing user dissatisfaction. Measurement Approach Modifications Before the change, the sizes had both one number and one letter, for instance S/8 or M/10. The updated approach includes an alphabetical indicator and numerical range like S/UK 8-10. With some products, the measurements have been reclassified - for example a size L used to be a 12 but currently displays as UK 16-18. Member Stories Frankie Bridger, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, stated the update "complicates both purchasing and selling". "Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," which is what Vinted now does. A different member, based in Glasgow, said garments she listed on Vinted with size 14 labels were displaying on the service as size 20–22. "Should someone sized 20-22 purchase these they're going to be very disappointed," she stated. Necessary Adjustments Another shopper, based in Derby, explained she became annoyed because the modification necessitated personal updates the sizing for "all her products". "Personally, this is quite irritating, since I have chronic health issues and platform income has been essential for me since losing part of my income," she explained.
